Tiger Butter

As you can tell, I love getting recipes from friends. My friend Lainie gave us this as a Christmas gift this week. A fast and very easy gift to make for teachers and neighbors. So decadent!

1 pound white chocolate
1 1/3 cups creamy peanut butter
1 pound semisweet chocolate **(see side note below)
1 Tablespoon Butter

Line a 10x15 inch pan with parchment. Set aside.

Put white chocolate in a large bowl and melt in the microwave. Once melted, stir in peanut butter until incorporated. While stirring the peanut butter into the white chocolate, melt the semisweet chocolate and butter in the microwave. Spread white chocolate mixture onto the prepared pan. Pour melted semi-sweet chocolate over top and swirl through with a knife, to create a marble pattern. Chill until firm. Cut into 1 /2 x 1" pieces, place in a cellophane bag and tie it closed with a pretty ribbon.

**12-22-08 Side note: I like less chocolate in this recipe, so I only add half of a 12 ounce bag of chips. Tonight M. said that it tasted like a Reese's PB cup and I have to agree. So if you like Reese's try it with less chocolate.
