Super Easy Fudge

2 (8 ounce) packages semi-sweet baking chocolate
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) - I do not add

Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined. Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat. Add nuts (if desired) Spoon fudge into pan; the fudge will set up almost immediately. Chill covered in the refrigerator and slice fudge very thin when ready to serve, a little goes a long way.

For Gifts:

Double the recipe and put in a 9x13 baking dish. Cut into 1" pieces and place gift boxes.

I'm so glad you posted this. My grandma made the best fudge, the kind with the candy thermometer, but I've never had good results.
